The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are reviewing management plans for 21 Protected Areas and are calling for public submissions. No changes to current management practices are planned but changes may be made after submissions have been considered.
We have been invited to suggest alterations to existing management practices and/or offer our support for the way these areas are currently being handled.
If any ACC members have an interest in the way Queensland National Parks and Protected Areas are being managed go to www.epa.qld.gov.au/parkplans to see which areas are affected. Submissions have to be lodged before 27 June so I suggest you make your own submission with a copy to me at
If it is decided, following the first round of submissions, that changes are to be made these will be drafted and further comment will be called for. But it's best to get in on the first round of consultation.
